Make
substitute for expensive egg substitutes
If you want a virtually
no-cholesterol product, try this combination:
2 egg whites plus 1 tablespoon
powdered milk and a drop or two of yellow food coloring.
However, if you are looking to
simply reduce the cholesterol content, you'll be much
happier with four egg whites
plus only one egg yolk. This will give you a similar egg
consistency, flavor and
appearance to whole eggs while reducing the cholesterol by 75
percent.
By the way, 1/4 cup of any egg
substitute is equal to one egg.
